Start with your antlers
A replica skull provides the skull-shaped display for real antlers. It is a useful option when you have sheds, separated antlers or a rack whose original skull is no longer suitable for display. Your antlers supply the character; the replica supplies the finished profile.

Know what needs preparation
Loose sheds, cut-off antlers and antlers still joined by a skull plate start in different conditions. Contact us with a photo of the bases if you are unsure what preparation or attachment your setup needs. Confirm the method before making an irreversible cut or drilling a hole.
If you already have an intact skull that you want to preserve, keeping the original bone may suit your trophy better. A replica is a display choice for your particular antlers.
Choose the finish and wall support
Use the product's finish selector to see current options and prices. On eligible mounts, Skull Only excludes the wall hanger; Skull and Wall Mount adds the hanger for $9.95 per mount. Antler-attachment hardware and a wall hanger have different jobs. Check the product details before ordering.

Questions about sheds, skull caps and old racks
Can I mount one shed antler?
Start with a photo of the shed and its base. LTD Skulls does not currently list a dedicated single-antler product, and loose antlers do not all use the same attachment. Send us the photo before ordering or drilling so we can confirm whether a current mount supports your setup.
Do I need the original deer skull?
No. A replica skull supplies the finished skull profile while your real antlers supply the trophy. For a matched whitetail set, start with the Whitetail Replica Skull Mount Kit; for mule deer antlers, use the Mule Deer Replica Skull Mount.
Can I mount a skull-capped rack?
Skull-capped racks and loose antlers begin with different base material and may need different preparation. Send a clear photo before making an irreversible cut or drilling a hole, then follow the instructions for the confirmed product and hardware.
Can I skip boiling a deer skull?
A replica skull display lets you create a European-style profile without cleaning, boiling and whitening an original skull. You still need to prepare and attach your real antlers correctly, so review the written installation steps before starting.
